The<\/span><\/span>\u00a0International Organization for Standardization,\u00a0abbreviated as\u00a0<\/span>ISO<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0, is an international organization consisting of representatives of national standardization bodies from different countries.<\/span><\/p>\n

This non-governmental organization develops and coordinates global standards in various industrial, commercial, and service fields. Its headquarters\u00a0are located in\u00a0<\/span>Geneva, Switzerland<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0, and it began its official activities on\u00a0<\/span>February 23, 1947. The main goal of ISO is\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>to promote and coordinate economic and industrial standards at the international level<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0so that industrial exchanges and communications can be carried out in a single direction. Despite being non-governmental, this organization has great influence because its standards become binding laws in many countries. Currently, more than\u00a0<\/span>164 countries<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0, including\u00a0<\/span>Iran,<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0are members of this organization.<\/span><\/p>\n

Elevator standards and their types<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Due to accidents caused by elevator design, production, and installation in the past,\u00a0<\/span>the Iranian Standards Organization<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0launched a system for elevator management and inspection in 1998. After the formulation of national regulations, the implementation of elevator standards became\u00a0<\/span>mandatory<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0in 2004 , and all owners were required to obtain the necessary permits. Elevator standards are divided into two main categories:<\/span><\/p>\n

  • A) Initial Elevator Standard:<\/span><\/strong>
    \nThis standard is required to obtain a building completion permit.<\/span>
    \nIt determines that the installed elevator (in residential, office or commercial buildings)<\/span>
    \ncomplies with the standard requirements.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • B) Periodic Elevator Standard:<\/span><\/strong>
      \nTo ensure the proper functioning of the elevator, building managers and owners are required to\u00a0inspect and renew the standard<\/strong><\/span>
      \nevery year\u00a0.\u00a0This inspection ensures that the elevator system is in a safe and standard condition.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      The process of obtaining an initial standard usually takes between\u00a0<\/span>20 and 30 days<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0, while renewing a periodic standard\u00a0takes about\u00a0<\/span>10 to 30 days .<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/section>\n
