History
The SICOR company was founded in 1981 as a manufacturer of lifting machines for elevators. Thanks to a continuous research and development process, over the years SICOR has developed a complete range of geared products, geared machines, and permanent magnet gearless machines to meet the diverse needs of the market.
All products are entirely made in Italy at the Rovereto factory, equipped with the most innovative and efficient technical production solutions.

The SICOR gearbox production range allows usage up to 5,500 kg in 1:1 suspension systems, speeds up to 4 m/s, with traction sheaves ranging from 320 to 885 mm.
The SICOR gearless machine range allows usage up to 4,000 kg in 2:1 suspension, speeds up to 4 m/s, and many other speeds upon request, with traction sheaves from 120 to 670 mm.
The gearless series is also available with central sheave machines for systems requiring compactness.
One of SICOR’s strengths is its custom design, which allows many multinational elevator manufacturers to select it as the exclusive partner for producing the drive section of their systems.
With over 500,000 installed units, the MR12 is the best-selling elevator gearbox in its class to date.
The company is equipped with an efficient and modern automated warehousing system fully serving production, capable of storing and feeding production lines with over 6,000 items, enabling immediate order processing within 24–48 hours.
